Calling all yoga enthusiasts! The irreverent but utterly charming Bryan Kest will be at Power Yoga San Rafael on Saturday Dec 14 to teach an extended Master Class. This is a rare opportunity that you don't want to miss!
Bryan Kest’s Power Yoga classes are a well rounded flowing asana practice integrating mental practices that enhance everyday living. The classes are intended to invigorate your body and help you practice developing a calm, less reactive state of mind with dynamic flowing routines. In a Power Yoga workshop, you are encouraged to focus on the process and not the end result. This allows ALL levels of yoga practitioners to enjoy and benefit from the workshop.
A Power Yoga Master Class typically includes:
• 1 hour of lecture about basic philosophy and fundamentals
• 2 hours of physical practice incorporating principles from the lecture
For those of you familiar with this world renowned power yoga teacher, you know we’re in for a treat.
Born in 1964, Bryan Kest has been practicing yoga since 1979, starting when he was 14-years-old. He initially studied in Hawaii with David Williams, the first person to bring Ashtanga yoga to America. He then studied in India with K. Pattabhi Jois, the main proponent of Ashtanga yoga. Kest has been teaching yoga since 1985. Over the years, this style has made him a well-known, popular teacher across the country and around the world. He’s a serious enthusiast & teacher but approaches the practice with humor.
“My primary objective,” he says. “is to turn more people on to not only the physical practice of yoga but also to a healthier more peaceful lifestyle that continually challenges them to grow. The combination of mind, body and spirit is our objective as well as achieving top physical conditioning.”

POWER YOGA is a challenging, flowing yoga class taught in a heated room with a focus on stability, stamina, freedom and FUN! The poses are simple and easy to learn with room to vary and elaborate as students progress. We invite students of ALL LEVELS to attend any scheduled class.
This yoga is for EVERY BODY. Regardless of your size, shape, age or skill level, all poses can be modifed to suit you. NOTHING stands between YOU and your TRANSFORMATION.
